Speaker's Profile:
Tian Wei Zhang, Professor, NTU
Prof Zhang is an associate professor of College of Computing and Data Science at Nanyang Technological University. He received Ph.D in Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University, and Bachelor's degree in Physics at Peking University. He has a broad interest in building trustworthy, efficient and intelligent systems. I do research mainly for fun. He finds great satisfactory in seeing interesting ideas take shape, being concretely implemented, validated, and well-documented—far more rewarding than simply getting them published. For more details of the research, please check research projects and publications. He teaches cyber security related courses for undergraduate students and master students at NTU.

Chien Wei possesses more than 2 decades of experience with the Singapore Armed Forces at various organizational levels focusing on operations, training, long term planning and future concept experimentation in air defence, Cyber Security, etc. He has deep competencies in the application of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics in various domains combined with having strong foundations in human factors, learning theories and epistemology. He also has deep appreciation of workplace knowledge creation and learning theories from the historical, social and cultural perspectives.
