Overview
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) based technologies are increasingly present in the service and process experiences of leading organisations. However, the application of technology alone is not enough to succeed - the guidance of a broader Design Thinking mindset is necessary.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
This course will develop an understanding of the foundations of AI and ML, before developing a capability to deploy "Intelligent" and "Cognitive" tools within Process and Service Design contexts. At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to: - Understand what "AI" and "ML" means for process, product, and service transformation - Apply "Intelligent Assistant" and "Recommendation Engine" tools to enhance process, product, and service experiences - Mobilise "AI" and "ML" within a Design Thinking Project - Understand the governance challenges of "AI-Assisted" process, product, and service design
Recommended Prerequisites
Participants should preferably have basic understanding of design thinking or have taken courses such as Innovating Through Design Thinking programme offered by SMU Academy.
