In celebration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, 2024, and in alignment with the Singapore Government's commitment to prioritizing mental health and well-being, SCRP is hosting an on-site event designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among clinicians, researchers, and the broader research community. Join us in promoting mental well-being, raising awareness about early prevention strategies, and advancing research on neurological disorders. Together, we can build a stronger mental health ecosystem for all.

Dr. Yeo Jing Ping, Chair of Singapore Clinical Research Professionals Association (SCRP) and Global Head of Project Operations and Head of Transformation in George Clinical, George ClinicalDr Jing Ping Yeo has more than 27 years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical and CRO industries and institution. She is currently the Global Head of Project Operations and Head of Transformation in George Clinical. Until recently, she was the Vice President in Cytel and General Manager for Asia Pacific, responsible for the growth in Asia. Prior to this, she was the Director for Research Integrity, Compliance and Ethics in SingHealth. She was previously the Corporate Vice President for PAREXEL International CRO and has also worked in Quintiles and Novo Nordisk. She is currently the Chair of Singapore Clinical Research Professionals Association, the Chair of Advisory Committee Member for the Singapore Chapter of Drug Information Association (DIA), and Program Committee for DIA-Asia. In addition, she is an active speaker in the academic institutions, in Pharmaceutical and CRO forums.

Serene Ong, CEO Cofounder Phoenixus, Vice Chair SCRP, PhoenixusSerene Ong, a mother of six and co-founder of a thriving preschool, has 20+ years of experience in healthcare, logistics, and clinical trials. She excelled in spanning start-ups, pharma, venture capital, hospitals, and global clinical trial organizations. At Marken, Serene was the Vice President of Global Sales Operations and Vice President of Commercial Operations, Asia Pacific. An advocate for Women Empowerment and Leadership, she founded Phonenixus in 2023, a network dedicated to empower women, nurture the next generation of leaders, and support underprivileged women and children. She earns her EMBA with INSEAD, holds a Master of Science (Pharmacy) from the National University of Singapore, a Minor in Technopreneurship from Stanford University, and participated in the Global CxO Program with Wharton University of Pennsylvania. Serene received the "Outstanding Leadership Award" at Health 2.0 and "Top 50 Global Inspirational Women" recognition for creating opportunities for others.

Dr Charles Stacey, CEO and President , CerecinDr. Stacey is President and CEO of Cerecin, a clinical stage biotechnology company developing innovative therapeutics for brain health and neurological diseases. Prior to joining Cerecin, he was with Inventages, the Nestlé backed healthcare venture capital group, with $1.5Bn under management. Prior to Inventages, Dr. Stacey ran an orthopedic medical device company and worked for a number of early stage healthcare companies. He received his medical degree from King’s College London and practiced as a trauma and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Stacey also completed an MBA at the London Business School and the Wharton School.

Dr Daniel Fung, Chief Executive Officer, Institute of Mental Health, SingaporeDr Daniel Fung is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and also the CEO of the Institute of Mental Health in Singapore. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at all 3 Singapore medical schools. Dr Fung is the President of the College of Psychiatrists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore and Past President of the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (2018-2022). Dr Fung has co-authored over 240 peer reviewed research papers, books and book chapters. Dr Fung has been involved in the care of neurodiverse children through the setting up of a national community mental health programme which includes a patented novel treatment for ADHD. Dr Fung is married with 5 grown up children and 4 grandchildren. He will be talking about the importance of mental health and two common mental health disorders of childhood onset, anxiety and disruptive behaviour disorders

Louise Wong, Director of Clinical Development, YanessorLouise Wong has over 18 years of experience in clinical affairs, monitoring, business development, and project management. She has honed her skills working with leading CROs, pharmaceuticals, MedTech, and SingHealth, gaining expertise in regulatory and clinical trial landscapes, particularly in the APAC region. As the Director of Clinical Development at Yanessor, she offers consulting and clinical project management services across diverse sectors. Louise also volunteers as a Committee Leader for HBA Singapore, promoting women’s advancement in healthcare. A lifelong learner and mother of three, she authored a book on resilience to inspire others.

Assoc Prof Phua Ghee Chee, Chief Wellness Officer (SingHealth); Deputy CEO (SGH) Respiratory & Critical Care Medicine (SGH), Singapore General HospitalAssoc Prof Phua Ghee Chee is the Deputy CEO of SGH, responsible for leading initiatives to enhance staff well-being and patient experience. He also serves as the Chief Wellness Office of SingHealth, and undertakes the envisioning, development, and implementation of staff wellness strategies in the cluster. He is a Respiratory and ICU physician and maintains an active clinical practice. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the SGH ICU Committee, the SingHealth ICU Operations Group, and served in the National ICU Committee. Further, he is a passionate Clinician-Educator and a clinical faculty in Duke-NUS and Yong Loo Lin Medical Schools. He was a former SingHealth Internal Medicine Residency Programme Director, Chair of the Chapter of Respiratory Physicians and Intensive Care Medicine Specialty Training Committee Member. He continues to serve in the Respiratory Residency Advisory Committee.
