Overview
This 10 week joint certification between Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore Computer Society is incorporated into the prestigious NTU’s FlexiMasters in AI and AI Ethics and designed to help professionals who wish to acquire more knowledge in applying ethical AI practices in organisations and wish to understand and help societies to solve problems brought about by the impact of AI.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will: - Be able to describe the potential ethical issues of AI applications, and the guiding principles in order to raise and redress ethical concerns effectively. - Know the governance framework of AI ethics. - Know concepts of risks related to deploying AI/ML systems and processes for risk management. - Identify core stakeholders and their concerns with regards to application of AI depending on their situation, and how such concerns may drive organizational behavior. - Design and critically evaluate the use of interpretation techniques to address stakeholder concerns.
Pre-course instructions
There are 5 courses in this certificate. Classes will run every Saturday for 10 consecutive Saturdays, with a final exam conducted online on the Saturday of the 11th week. Each course will start on Saturday and ends on the following Saturday: - Saturday, 9:30 am-1130am: Live online – Module Introduction, presentation, assignment requirement. - From Sunday to Friday – learners study online materials at their own time and own pace and work on assignments - Wednesday, 7.30pm - 9pm - Live E-consultation hours on assignment and content clarification. -Saturday 9:30 am-1130am: Live online – Summative discussion. Each course will have an assessment (in the form of a short quiz or assignment) that each learner must pass (in order to claim SSG funding). To be awarded the Certificate, learner’s must pass all courses’ assessments and a final exam. Registration close date: 09/09/2023
