Overview
In this event, the speakers will share with you the good, the bad and ugly side of Generative AI so that you can make informed decisions about how to use it.
Generative AI (GenAI) has indeed taken the world by storm, and the launch of ChatGPT by OpenAI in November 2022 has only added fuel to the fire. The talk of AI is everywhere, and applications that leverage AI are being developed daily. Amazon has also entered the GenAI space with its suite of foundation models called Amazon Bedrock. With AI as the main offering by these cloud service providers, you can now generate pictures, characters, write poems, create course notes, and more using powerful and free software. GenAI has many benefits, including faster innovation to reinvent customer experiences and applications. However, it is important to understand what GenAI can and cannot do. In this event, Mr Allen Lee and Mr Lim Wei Wah, Executive Committee members of Information Technology Group (ITG), a professional interest group of SIM Society, will share with you the good, the bad and ugly side of GenAI so that you can make informed decisions about how to use it. FEES: $10 (ITG Members) $15 (SIM Society Members/SGI Members) $20 (SIM Students/Alumni) $25 (Non-members) All fees are inclusive of GST.
