Course Description & Learning Outcomes
This 3-day course really takes a deep dive into advanced level skills. Starting with how the languages of R and M can be used to extend the standard data extraction and transformation capabilities of Power BI. Participants will then understand complex data modelling scenarios and how Power BI can overcome them. Participants will also learn about several advanced data visualisation techniques that can take their reports and dashboards beyond the basics. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Architect an up-to-date “Business Intelligence (BI)” solution in their organisation Connect any type of data to MS Power BI Apply advanced “Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL)” to build data models in MS Power BI Select and use specialist ETL tools to support and automate data flows into MS Power BI Apply information design concepts to create objective-orientated BI solutions Select and execute appropriate visualisations within MS Power BI Create a dashboard to explore data and answer queries using MS Power BI Run advanced analytics using the DAX language and supporting Python scripts Publish tailored and secure BI solutions to stakeholders using MS Power BI Distribute and integrate MS Power BI outputs within other tools and platforms
