Geraldine Wong

Dr. Geraldine Wong is Group Chief Data Officer at GXS Bank (GXS), one of two successful digital full bank licence applicants in Singapore. GXS is backed by a consortium consisting of Grab and Singtel. At GXS, Dr. Wong is responsible for driving and building the bank's AI and data strategy with the goal of leveraging ecosystem data assets, promoting data-driven financial inclusion and reimagining the way customers engage and experience the digital economy. Her career spans across industry and academia, where she has led teams in developing and executing regional AI initiatives across the public , transport and info-communications sectors.

Donald MacDonald, Head Group Data Office, OCBC Bank
Donald MacDonald

Donald leads the OCBC Group Data Office function across Asia Group Data Office is responsible for driving value from OCBC's data assets. We apply Analytical and GenAI to generate new revenue streams, lower costs, reduce risk and improve customer experience across all areas of OCBC Group. As the Analytics CoE, we also enable other analytics teams across OCBC - through development of our next generation analytics stack, group data strategy and empowering employees with data literacy skills. Capabilities within the data office include data strategy, analytics translation, analytics, The AI lab and data engineering. An industry veteran with 30 years of international experience in analytics roles. Donald started in the early days of data mining in Standard Life, consulting for PwC and IBM before joining OCBC to lead their data transformation journey.

Tahir Zafar

Tahir is the Global Head of Data and AI Strategy at Nomura, responsible for advising executive and C-suite stakeholders to harness the power of data and AI to innovate and optimize across functions. Tahir is based in Singapore. Tahir previously held various leadership roles at PwC and Accenture, where he consulted for a range of top tier investment banks including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Barclays and UBS. He has successfully delivered a variety of initiatives including business and digital transformation, data strategy and regulatory change. As a thought leader in the field, Tahir is a regular speaker at international conferences and summits, sharing his insights on the integration of AI in financial services. Tahir holds a degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of Oxford

Soumyajit Sarcar

Soumyajit is Nomura's Head of Data and Analytics Product Development at its Chief Data Office. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for leading initiatives to simplify the firm's data fabric, create data products and generate value through data , analytics and AI products and solutions. In the last 3 years, he has delivered large scale cloud migrations, enabled state-of-the-art cloud-first data platforms for driving analytics and AI with a strong focus on data and AI governance. A seasoned data analytics leader, Soumyajit has over 20 years of experience in digital transformation, CRM Strategy, enterprise data strategy, cloud deployments and product development and delivery across customer, market and portfolio intelligence. He has built relationships and delivered results across markets globally including US, China, Japan, Australia and Malaysia.
