Intro to CNNs - Dr. Martin Andrews
Martin will be giving an intro to CNNs and how the various components of Convolution Networks work. This includes some of the types of CNNs, their differences and the various components that are commonly used to build modern networks. He will also show how Keras can be used to build a CNN for classifying audio and speech examples by converting audio into images.
Building CNNs with TensorFlow Estimators and the Dataset APIs - Sam Witteveen
In this talk Sam will go through the basics of building various CNNs combining the Keras, Estimators and Dataset APIs in TensorFlow. He will show how these various parts of TensorFlow can be used together to make models and pipelines for image classification that will easily work on CPUs and GPUs. Some of the elements he will cover include Convolution Layers, Pooling Layers and Dropout.
