Join us for this Deep Tech Community Event where we aim to bring all the Ecosystem members working on Sustability in Energy Transition.

What are the progress made in Energy Transition?

What are some of the barriers that prevent greater progress in Sustainability in the Energy sector?

How can Technopreneurs address some of the gaps in the Sustainability space for Energy Transition?

This event aims to bring all the stakeholders, engineers, investors, technology solution providers, industry partners together to link up and network, in striving together for greater efficiency in the use of sustainable solutions for energy transition.

Dr Michael Abundo

Dr Michael Abundo is the Founder of OceanPixel which specialises in ocean renewable energy solutions and data platforms to provide information to project developments for system deployments.

Wang Peiyi, Strategic Planning and Communications, ISCE2
Wang Peiyi

Peiyi oversees the Strategic Planning and Communications roles at the Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment (ISCE2). He guides the development of major research programmes to accelerate and scale innovation in the sustainability space. Peiyi is an experienced manager in technology innovation with passion for fostering the growth of deep tech startups. Prior to the current role, he led venture building programmes at A*STAR’s ventures team to help grow Singapore’s deep tech ecosystem. He established initiatives such as the A*STAR-NHG-NTU biomedtech incubator co11ab, FTIC Food Tech Startup Challenge, and the A*STAR Advanced Manufacturing Startup Challenge. He also contributed to the establishment of A*STAR’s first international partner’s centre in Suzhou Industrial Park for deep tech startups to enter the China market. Peiyi graduated with a BSc in Chemical Engineering (Cum Laude) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on a scholarship from A*STAR.

Dr Michael Kent, Lecturer, Singapore University of Social Sciences
Dr Michael Kent

Dr Michael Kent is an André Hoffmann Fellow and Lecturer at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). His work primarily examines the nexus between indoor human comfort and energy efficiency in buildings, thereby creating healthy and sustainable indoor spaces for people to live and work.
