Overview
Join this half-day course to demystify the process of filing a patent application. Learn best practices when preparing for a patent application and make informed decisions when preparing for patent applications. You will also gain a better understanding of the patent application process in Singapore and abroad.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
Despite it being a mere application, the filing of a patent may be regarded as one of the most technically challenging applications for an intellectual property (IP) right. It is also relatively costly when compared to other types of IP applications. This complexity is compounded by the fact that no worldwide patent exists, and that the estimated patent application success rate is only in the 50%-60% range. Join us at this half-day webinar to demystify the patent application process and to learn best practices when filing a patent application. You will learn to make sense of the patent application and its processes in Singapore and abroad to make more informed filing decisions, be in a better position to prepare a simple patent application, and form a more collaborative relationship with a patent attorney. This course is focused on making sense of the patent application and its processes in Singapore and abroad, in order that potential applicants may: - make better filing decisions; - be in a better position to prepare some parts of a simple patent application; and - form a more collaborative relationship with a patent attorney.
