Overview
This is a 2-day, in-person workshop for those looking for a deeper appreciation of design thinking-approaches in healthcare innovation by layering on a structured framework for empathizing and identifying an unmet healthcare need, brainstorming and evaluating ideas towards developing well-defined and validated healthcare solutions.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module, you should be able to: - Demonstrate ability to apply design thinking and needs analysis to unmet healthcare/clinical needs - Articulate the necessary needs research by drafting a preliminary needs specification document - Apply ideation strategies to brainstorm possible healthcare solutions and where it would meet gaps in the patient/user journey - Screen concepts using relevant parameters pertinent to the innovation - Assess technology to design and develop functional proof-of-concept prototypes
Recommended Prerequisites
- Diploma for Health Care Professionals - At least a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent for all other professions and disciplines
