Overview
Moving beyond 2D, Metaverse is a computer-generated 3D simulation of a virtual world where people can connect from any part of the world. Ranging from virtual music events to non-fungible token trades, the Metaverse opens up a whole new world of economic prospects for business owners and content creators.
This course is part of the Advanced Certificate in Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
Many brands such as McDonald's and Gucci are taking a leap to enter the Metaverse world. But how does one set up a business in the Metaverse? This module aims to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the Metaverse and equip them with the essential knowledge of the benefits, challenges as well as rules and regulations associated with funding and setting up of businesses in the Metaverse. At the end of the 2-day module, participants will be able to: - Explore the different types of Metaverse platforms and how they work - Learn about technologies that run on the Metaverse and how brands can use them to their advantage - Know the essentials to get started in the Metaverse - Learn the selling points and challenges of the Metaverse - Discover ways brands can make the Metaverse more accessible and inclusive for the general public - Learn about brands dominating the Metaverse and how they set up their businesses there - Know who are the investors in the Metaverse (internationally and locally) - Learn how to determine if their business should enter into the Metaverse as an investment for digital growth - Identify the risk awareness and risk management in the Metaverse - Know the stages of funding and how businesses receive funding - Gain an understanding of the policies and regulations business owners have to consider in the Metaverse
