Nirdesh K. Gupta, PhD, Managing Partner, Cedars-Sinai
Dr. Nirdesh K. Gupta, PhD, is the Managing Partner of Cedars-Sinai Technology Ventures and the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, where he leads key operations for business units such as 3rd Street Technologies, MAST, and the Cedars-Sinai Biomanufacturing Center. He oversees the CSTV Seed Fund, managing over $275M in equity across more than 20 companies. Dr. Gupta mentors scientists and entrepreneurs to develop innovative healthcare solutions and has played a pivotal role in co-creating Cedars-Sinai spinoffs like Prometheus Biosciences, Gemelli Biotech, and Gravidas Diagnostics. He has also served on the UNESCAP Business Advisory Council and Innovation Task Force. Dr. Gupta holds a bachelor's and a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences.

Colin Tan, Investment Director, Coronet Venture
Colin is the investment director of Coronet Ventures. He has worked in healthcare startups in the US and Singapore, focusing on fund raising, medical device project management, operations, product design and development. His experience includes taking projects through conceptualization, verification, clinical trials, regulatory approvals, manufacturing and commercialization. Colin has managed and worked on a diverse range of projects from tissue engineering of vascular substitutes to ocular implants, glucose monitoring, endoscopy, orthopedic, and cardiovascular products. He completed his Master's in Bioengineering from Stanford University and Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Wenyue Du, PhD, Director of Business Development, Biomedical, Cedars-Sinai
Wenyue Du joined Cedars-Sinai Technology Ventures in 2014, where she supports faculty and research staff in their innovation efforts. She manages a portfolio of therapeutic and diagnostic inventions, overseeing patent and commercialization strategies, licensing, and compliance management. Du also develops educational programs on innovation and entrepreneurship for internal researchers. Before joining Cedars-Sinai, she interned at Vanderbilt University’s Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization and worked as an analyst for a molecular diagnostic company. Du holds a doctorate in biological sciences from Vanderbilt University and is a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, as well as a certified licensing professional.

Julien Brohan, Director of Business Development, Medtech, Cedars-Sinai
Julien Brohan joined Cedars-Sinai Technology Ventures in 2016, where he manages a portfolio of inventions, focusing on medical devices and digital health technologies, from initial disclosure to out-licensing. He also oversees venture projects aimed at de-risking early-stage technologies to enhance their commercialization potential. Brohan collaborates closely with Cedars-Sinai employees to translate ideas into innovations. Prior to Cedars-Sinai, he worked as a licensing associate for the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, France’s largest nonprofit public research organization. With a background in chemical sciences, Brohan is a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and a certified licensing professional.
