If you are a medical technology (MedTech) startup looking to enter the Asia Pacific market or region, we are excited to announce that the applications for our premier annual accelerator Program for 2023 are open.
Shortlisted startups will be invited to pitch across our various in-person and virtual pitch events, in front of our corporate and strategic partners, which are great for those who are looking for more exposure to notable players in the industry.
After which, we will be selecting 20 brilliant startups to join our Cohort for our annual MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Accelerator Program which includes the opportunity to be matched with highly-qualified mentors in accordance to your startup’s needs as well as a chance to win the US $175,000 in non-dilutive cash Grand Prize.

For Startups interested in the US or European markets, MedTech Innovator also offers a parallel competition and program providing content and benefits regarding accessing and operating in the US and EU regions. MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific 2023 Cohort
In 2023, MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific will recognize best-in-class startups across the Asia Pacific region. Startups selected for this honor receive a slot in the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Cohort. The MedTech Innovator Cohort is an annual program that provides startups with high-profile visibility to healthcare investors, stakeholders, and decision-makers, access to a network of mentors and peers, and participation in a customized virtual curriculum.
MedTech Innovator Cohort startups will receive mentorship and coaching through one-on-one matching with one or more mentors from our corporate partners to help with commercialization throughout Asia Pacific. They will also have access to the webinar sessions from our parallel US program providing information regarding accessing and operating in the US and EU regions. Additionally, the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific Cohort startups are eligible to compete for up to US $300,000 in cash and awards. All medical device, diagnostic, or digital health startups are eligible to apply.
Asia Pacific Program Benefits
MedTech Innovator Pitch – The highest scoring companies from the online application review are invited to participate in regional pitch events, awarding the opportunity to present to a variety of industry-leading judges and key opinion leaders. In-person pitch event judges include members of the MedTech Innovator leadership team, investors, providers, and senior executives from world-class multinationals and medtech companies. Historically, participation has resulted in financial investment, recruitment of board advisors, and establishment of research partnerships for startups. All companies invited to pitch will be provided with review feedback summaries based on their online application and in-person pitch.
MedTech Innovator Cohort – Shortlisted companies will be invited to participate in the MedTech Innovator Cohort. These companies will receive complimentary registration to APACMed’s Asia Pacific MedTech Forum in 2023. At this gathering of industry leaders from across the Asia Pacific, companies will participate in the MedTech Innovator Showcase, an on-stage interactive program. The showcase highlights the most innovative companies in sector-based sessions, moderated by leading corporate executives and investors. Opportunities will also include networking and pitching to investors, manufacturers, providers. All cohort companies will receive customized mentorship and the eligibility to compete for the Grand Prize.
Eligibility & Requirements
All early- to mid-stage medical device, diagnostic, or digital health companies are encouraged to apply.
Companies that are accepted to the program must commit a co-founder or senior member of their leadership team to attend APACMed’s Asia Pacific MedTech Forum in 2023. All companies selected for the showcase will prepare a 1-minute pitch video to be played during their showcase session at the Asia Pacific MedTech Forum.
MedTech Innovator is a nonprofit and does not require equity from participating companies.
