This Professional Certificate will equip learners with the knowledge, skills and abilities to design and develop the strategies and programmes to:
Manage AI innovation covering both products and services;
Protect AI innovation through intellectual property rights management; and
Commercialise AI innovation in the marketplace to generate returns to AI innovators
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
At the end of this Professional Certificate course, participants will be able to:
Design and develop frameworks, methodologies, and processes to manage the AI innovation value chain including ensuring compliance with AI ethics and governance.
Develop an action plan to protect and manage AI innovation through intellectual property rights such as patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret; and
Develop and implement a go-to-market (GTM) programme for the commercialisation of AI innovation including managing a gated GTM process to maximise market value.

Trainer's Profile:
Mr Zaid Bin Hamzah, Executive Education Fellow, Advanced Computing for Executives, NUSZaid Hamzah is an AI and data strategist and practitioner specialising in AI in finance and law, AI and data governance and AI in information security. An AI patent holder, he is currently an Executive Education Fellow at the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Computing’s Advanced Computing for Executives centre where he runs programmes on AI Innovation Management, Intellectual Property Rights in AI Innovation, and Commercialisation of AI Innovation. He has taught legal AI at the Singapore Management University School of Law. Zaid is deeply involved in AI R&D and innovation. His AI patent relating to risk management in a supply chain context was granted by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore in December 2023. He is currently involved in AI research and innovation in the area of decision intelligence and cybersecurity.
