Overview
This course will introduce the basics of quantum computing and cover various well-known quantum algorithms e.g. Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm, Simon’s algorithms, quantum Fourier transform, phase estimation, order finding, Shor’s algorithm, and Grover’s algorithm.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the participants will:
Understand quantum computing basics like qubits, unitary transformation, and quantum circuits
Understand basic quantum algorithms like Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm and Simon’s algorithms and also more advanced ones like Shor’s algorithm and Grover’s algorithm
Become familiar with programming quantum computers using the Qiskit programming language
Become familiar with applications of quantum computing e.g. in quantum finance, quantum cryptography, etc
