Speakers' Profiles:
Hsien-Hui Tong, Head of Venture Investing, SGInnovate
Hsien-Hui brings with him, in-depth knowledge and experience in the Business Development and Venture Capital spaces in Australia, Europe, Singapore and the US.
As the Head, Venture Investing, Hsien-Hui oversees SGInnovate's investments efforts, which target high-potential, deep technology startups working on areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Vehicles, MedTech and Blockchain.
Prior to joining SGInnovate, he was the Managing Partner, Asia Pacific for Wassax Ventures. He has also served as the CEO of the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) and Vice President at Staples. In the early 2000s, he co-founded a data mining company, which was sold to a global bank two years later.
Hsien-Hui graduated in 1998 from NUS with a Bachelor of Engineering.
Dr. Malika Meghjani, Research Scientist, Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART)
Malika is a Research Scientist and Technical Lead of SMART's AV team. She was awarded SMART Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2017 for her research proposal on autonomous fleet management using heterogeneous robots and context-aware path planning for self-driving cars. She received a PhD degree in Computer Science from McGill University, Canada in early 2017. In 2016, her work on "Multi-Target Rendezvous Search", was nominated as the finalist for the best paper award at IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS). A start-up proposal based on her work, titled, Multi-Agent Rendezvous on Street Networks, won her the NSERC Canadian Field Robotics Network, Strategic Network Enhancement Initiative Award in 2015.
During her graduate studies, she received several awards for her leadership and academic excellence. For her contributions to IEEE, she was recognized with the IEEE Larry K. Wilson Regional Students Activities Award in 2015 and the IEEE Canada Women in Engineering Award in 2013. She is also the 2015 recipient of the McGill Scarlet Key Award for her contributions to the McGill community. In 2013, she became the first Google Anita Borg Scholar from McGill University. Malika is also actively involved in international program committees for IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation 2019, International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-agent Systems 2019 and International Symposium on Multi-Robot and Multi-Agent Systems, 2019.
Simon Gwozdz, Founder and CEO, Equatorial Space Industries
Simon founded Equatorial Space Industries in 2017, in a mission to provide frequent and affordable launch services to the New Space community from its highly strategic location in Southeast Asia.
Self-taught in the areas of propulsion and orbital mechanics, Simon believes small launchers will enable a wave of innovation akin to the impact of drones on the aerospace sector.
When not developing launch vehicles, Simon enjoys hiking, music production, and home brewing.

Joanna has extensive experience working with both corporates and startups in transport innovation space.
She has spent 15 years in Senior and Executive roles at DHL and Toll Global Forwarding and is currently a Managing Partner at 2Market Global - a consultancy focusing on new technologies in transport and logistics.
Joanna is also a Lead Mentor at the German Accelerator South East Asia, PortXL (a leading global maritime and transportation accelerator) and CRIB (a social enterprise empowering women to become successful entrepreneurs) as well as a founder of Women in Supply Chain Circle at Lean In Singapore - the non-profit organisation founded by Sheryl Sandberg.
