Overview
Rapid urbanisation, increasing air pollution, and changes in behaviour are particularly pressing challenges in urban environments today. How can technology, innovation and intelligent design help cities to build public transport systems that are sustainable, resilient and centred around humans?
While assessing the impact of COVID-19 on public transport systems, we are already seeing exciting innovations that are changing the face of the sector. With this webinar, we aim to explore how long-term needs and recent disruptions will shape the evolution and development of public transportation systems. We will discuss the adoption of new transport modalities, and how innovation ecosystems are transforming mobility with innovative practices, technologies and novel business models.

Elba Fuster, Technical Expert, Smart Cities and Digitalisation, UNDP Global Centre for Technology, Innovation and Sustainable Development Singapore
Elba has in-depth experience in working on the domain of technology and innovation from the perspective of the different stakeholders - public authorities, corporates, SMEs and academia. She has been working for the IT Institute of the Barcelona City Council in the attraction and preparation of smart city projects and pilots funded by the European Commission on the domains of water management, AI, mobility and 5G, among others.
Previously, she also worked as a strategy consultant, assisting cities in the development of their smart city plans and supporting regions in the scaling up and replication of successful solutions in broader contexts. Before that, she worked for a research institute on Ecology (CREAF) in the domain of knowledge transfer and innovation.
Elba holds a Bachelor degree in Political Science from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona, a Master's degree on International development from Universit Libre de Bruxelles(ULB) in Belgium and a MBA from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). She speaks fluently English, French, Spanish and Catalan.
Andrey Berdichevskiy, Director - Future of Mobility Solution Centre, Deloitte
Andrey Berdichevskiy leads the global Future of Mobility Solution Centre for Deloitte in Singapore. He is a strategic and growth-oriented business enthusiast with leadership experience mainly focusing on transformations of the mobility of people & goods and new business models in the automotive sector.
Before his role with Deloitte Andrey lead the Automotive industry at the World Economic Forum, including building and leading the urban mobility practice. Andrey previously managed a multitude of strategic consulting projects for major German and Asian premium and volume automotive OEMs working for Deloitte and Arthur D. Little.
Andrey regularly gets invited to provide perspectives as a speaker at events like the World Economic Forum Business Roundtable, CES Asia, Mobile World Congress, etc.
He is also selected as Global Leadership Fellow, holds an Executive Master in Global Leadership of the World Economic Forum as well as a Master in Industrial Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
Justin Sim, CEO and Founder, QIQ Global
Justin Sim is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of QIQ Global, a leading tech company that builds and designs electric vehicles meant for the sharing economy. He has over 20 years of experience in designing and leading projects relating to green technology, robotics and electric vehicles.
Lynette Cheah, Associate Professor, Sustainable Urban Mobility Research Laboratory, SUTD
Dr Lynette Cheah is an Associate Professor of Engineering Systems at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. She leads the Sustainable Urban Mobility research group, which develops data-driven models and tools to reduce the environmental impacts of passenger and urban freight transport. Her expertise is in transport modelling and simulation, life-cycle energy and environmental assessments (LCA) of products and systems, and urban metabolism. She is a Fellow with the Martin Family Society for Sustainability, winner of the Singapore Challenge Prize in the Global Young Scientists Summit 2013. She is currently serving as a Review Editor for the UN IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report. She received her PhD in Engineering Systems from MIT and masters in Management Science from Stanford University.

Mr Tong Hsien-Hui, Head of Venture Investing, SGInnovate
Hsien-Hui brings with him in-depth knowledge and experience in the Business Development and Venture Capital spaces across Australia, Europe, Singapore and the US.
As Head of Venture Investing, Hsien-Hui oversees SGinnovate's investments efforts, which target high-potential, deep tech startups working on areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Vehicles, MedTech and Blockchain.
Prior to joining SGInnovate, he was the Managing Partner, Asia Pacific for Wassax Ventures. He has also served as the CEO of the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) and Vice President at Staples. In the early 2000s, he co-founded a data mining company, which was sold to a global bank two years later.
Hsien-Hui graduated in 1998 from NUS with a Bachelor of Engineering.
