Overview
The Singapore Healthcare Engineering Forum is an annual full-day event co-organized by the 2 largest biomedical engineering societies in Singapore (Biomedical Engineering Society & IEEE-EMBS Singapore) with HealthTEC.SG.
The event brings together speakers and participants from academia, industry and the healthcare sector to share and learn about the latest advances in the field of biomedical engineering. SHEF 2023 will feature 2 keynote speakers and 8 other speakers covering the following themes: 1) Digital Health 2) Human Health and Potential 3) Regulatory and Quality Systems 4) Clinical Translation The 2 keynote speakers are 1. Prof Tan Sze Wee (Assistant CE, BMRC, A*STAR) 2. Dr Cheng He (Vice President, R&D, Mirxes) The forum is supported by the Institution of Engineers (IES) Singapore and qualifies for 6 PDUs by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore (PEB). Through this forum we also hope to facilitate connections and collaborations between biomedical engineers from the different sectors. The student poster design competition at the event aims to encourage young biomedical engineers to share their work to the wider biomedical engineering community.
