Dr. Anders Ekholm, Vice President, Institute for Future Studies
Dr. Anders Ekholm is a distinguished Economist and Vice President at the Institute for Futures Studies in Stockholm. Over the course of his career, he has held several influential roles, including Director of Analytics at the Health and Social Care Inspectorate, where he specialized in quantitative economics. He also served as Chief Analyst at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, and has worked in the Ministry of Finance, Employment and Education department. Dr. Ekholm’s expertise spans the development and analysis of micro-simulation models for policy evaluation and formulation. In addition, he has led IT projects, notably developing the state budget system responsible for managing, distributing, and monitoring Sweden’s national budget. His leadership extends to board memberships in health and care providers, AI startups, and patient organizations. Dr. Ekholm is frequently invited to offer innovative insights and inspire solutions across various sectors of society
