About the Instructors:
Stephen Tracy, Managing Director SE Asia, YouGov
Stephen is an award winning analytics and research practitioner, analytics evangelist, blogger, teacher, and all around designer of things made with data. He has more than ten years' experience working in the field of digital analytics, primary research and data visualization. As the Head of Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia at YouGov, he is charged with overseeing the research and commercial teams, as well as driving growth through both operational and product innovation. Prior to joining the team at YouGov Stephen spent most of his career building analytics teams and capabilities at digital agencies, including MRM/McCann (IPG), WE Communications and SapientNitro (Publicis).
Stephen has a deep passion for teaching. He has served as an instructor with the Singapore Civil Service College and General Assembly, he frequently guest lectures at the National University of Singapore (NUS), and regularly speaks at industry events. During his spare time he also maintains a personal blog where he writes about business analytics, storytelling and data visualization at analythical.com.
Mrinal Daryani, Senior Product Consultant, Tableau Software
Mrinal has helped over a hundred clients across APAC adopt Tableau & scale it across the organization. If he's not playing with data, he's encouraging people to play with data. Prior to joining Tableau, he completed strategy consulting projects for the social sector.
Yoann Fol, CEO - Data Scientist, Dathappy
Yoann is a Digital enthusiast, human believer, nature lover and entrepreneur. He truly believes Data can help us to create good things!
After obtaining Sociology & Data Science diplomas, he has been 2 years a Big Data & Analytics consultant in France with missions on churn analytics for insurance, energy consumption forecasts for the national train company and others. He was, at the same time, a teaching assistant at Lyon 2 University providing descriptive statistics courses.
He then joined Solvay in Singapore, being the first Data Scientist of this chemical manufacturing MNC with 30k employees. From awareness to project realisation for all internal businesses & domains (industrial, research, sales, HR, etc.), he learned how to address Data innovation from the inside.
At the end of the 2 years contract, he decided to go for new adventures and created Dathappy, a Data Science consulting firm helping businesses in their Digital transformation. Dathappy has a social mission: make sure that no one is left behind. To realize that, B Corps, social enterprises, NGO and non-profit are a special target. In the meanwhile, partnerships with schools are built to help the reskilling and upskilling in coding & Data for all.
