Day 3: AI in Healthcare 2 Nov 2023 Building up from day 2, the conference programme for day 3 will focus on AI In Healthcare. Jointly organised with the Singapore Health Technologies Consortium (HealthTEC.SG), the programme will uncover trends and opportunities related to digital healthcare. Through technology pitching sessions, companies will share how technology and innovation can drive and transform healthcare in today's evolving landscape.

Ignatius Rasiah, Innovation Advisor , IPI
Ignatius Rasiah

Prof Ignatius Rasiah is currently the Program Director at the Institute for Engineering Leadership at the Faculty of Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He also holds a joint appointment as Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and is the Faculty Advisor for the Medical Grand Challenge as well as an Advisor to the Centre for Innovation in Healthcare at NUHS. Prior to his current appointment, he was the VP for Breakthrough Research at Medtronic. He also led the Medtronic Center for External Technology Incubation. Ignatius, who has over 20 years’ experience in R&D management of product development in industry, has held various leadership roles which included Chief Technology Officer for Asia at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics and Global Technology Manager at Honeywell Electronic Materials.

Andy David

Andy has over two decades of experience in Healthcare IT, during which he has assisted hospitals and healthcare providers in their digital transformation journey. He identifies their primary challenges in patient experience, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency and collaborates with them to design digital transformation and solution roadmaps to achieve key outcomes. He leads value-based customer engagements, ensuring that the proposed solutions meet the customers' business needs by providing meaningful solutions to real health enterprise challenges. He is a thought-leader in introducing new emerging technologies to resolve healthcare challenges and help improve the quality of care. He builds Smart Hospital digital transformation roadmaps with end-to-end solutions, including design thinking, business planning, process change, and product development interaction, and ongoing governance to ensure outcomes.

Chris L. Hardesty, Partner , Pureland Venture
Chris L. Hardesty

Chris is an independent advisor to global health programs, having lived and worked in more than 50 countries and following the philosophy of “something to teach, something to learn”. His area of emphasis is building public-private partnerships to bring safe, effective, and economically viable medical innovations to those in need. Chris started his career in the pharmaceutical industry (at Laboratoire Boiron), and then spent more than a decade as part of KPMG’s Global Health & Life Sciences Centre of Excellence. Chris’ other ecosystem roles include Ministry of Health training and innovation evaluation, WEF and Lancet Commission working committees, visiting lecturer, and VC/advisor to early-stage companies. He is based in Singapore and is pursuing his doctoral degree in global public health.

Elizabeth Han

Elizabeth Han is the Group Head of Innovation at IHH Healthcare, leading the company’s corporate venture fund and strategic partnerships. She has over a decade of experience in investing in digital health and healthcare services, from early stage to growth equity and buy-outs. Prior to IHH Healthcare, Elizabeth was an investor in a US healthcare VC and growth equity firm, investing in areas such as primary care, behavioral health, AI, and telehealth. She started her career as a management consultant advising companies on growth strategy and operations. Elizabeth holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California Los Angeles.

Shaun Rossiter, Founder & CEO , AiHealth.SG
Shaun Rossiter

Shaun Rossiter, the Founder of AiHealth.SG journey of healthcare innovation was sparked by a life-changing event. After enduring severe surgery due to a collapsed carotid artery, triggered by a non- communicable disease (NCD) known as cardio-vascular disease, he couldn’t help but wonder, “Why didn’t I recognize the symptoms and comprehend the risks earlier?” This drove him to explore existing solutions on the market, only to discover there was a lack of available options in the market to self-assess, identify, and track personal NCD risk factors. After completing a course on AI at MIT Shaun delved deeper into the existing options and concluded that whilst maybe he couldn’t solve something as complicated as a collapsed artery there was certainly a way forward to use AI to be truly effective at scale for NCD intervention at the Population level.

Damien Keogh

As the CEO and founding member of BluMaiden Biosciences, Damien Keogh, Ph.D., leads a platform company that leverages artificial intelligence to identify biomarkers and small molecule therapeutics from the human microbiome. Dr. Keogh has been serving as Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors Member since August 2020. Prior to co-founding the Company, he was actively engaged in the Biotechnology sector with roles in venture capital as Entrepreneur-inresidence, spin-out and venture created biotechnology companies. He has also earned alumni status at Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS. Dr. Keogh continues to support and engage with both start-up companies and entrepreneurs in their strategic positioning and development.

Jae Ho Lee, A/Prof, Cha University (Fertility) , Associate Director, GoQba Technology
Jae Ho Lee

Jae Ho Lee is an Associate Professor at the CHA University and lab director at the CHA Fertility Center Seoul Station, Republic Korea. He got a Ph.D. studied artificial testis for male infertility therapy, Seoul woman’s university. His fellowship trained in medical college of Georgia, USA, and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
