Nuclear Power Codes & Standards Across Major Nuclear Countries

0%

Overview

As ASEAN accelerates its interest in nuclear energy to meet decarbonization goals, technology awareness alone is no longer enough. Hosted by local engineering consultancy HY and Swiss nuclear consultancy Apollo+, this practical 2-day course decodes the international nuclear power codes, licensing expectations, and compliance frameworks that determine who builds, supplies, and regulates the modern nuclear value chain.

Course Description & Learning Outcomes

The deployment of nuclear energy requires strict adherence to complex international standards that govern safety, design integrity, and supply chain qualification. For organizations preparing to enter, evaluate, or regulate the nuclear power sector, understanding these frameworks is a critical first step.

Founders' Roundtable Lunch: Managing Finances at the Growth Stage

0%

Overview

You've found product-market fit. Now comes the part nobody warns you about: How do you keep the finances tight while you scale?

Join an intimate room of founders and invited guests for a closed-door sharing.

Join us for an intimate, closed-door lunch with a small room of founders and three guests who've seen growth-stage finance from every angle:

  • Belle Lim - Co-Head, APAC, Worldwide Private Capital, Microsoft

  • Dennis Le, Investment Director, Openspace Capital

  • Sahana Vendar Kon, Regional Startups Lead, APAC, Carta

Expect conversations over lunch to be around cap-table discipline and dilution, the metrics investors actually underwrite at Series A/B, when to extend runway vs. raise, and how to access capital without burning it.

Please note that conversations will be held under Chatham House Rule, so everyone in the room will be able to share candidly.

This is for you if: you're a seed-stage founder doing US$100K+ ARR, or raising/scaling through Series A–B.

Seats are limited and curated to keep the room small and the conversation relevant. Apply below and tell us the one finance question you're wrestling with and we'll build the discussion around what you bring.

SGBC Seminar with HY: Exploring Nuclear Energy for an Evolving Built Environment

0%

Overview

Nuclear power has the potential to serve as a transformative catalyst in the decarbonisation of the built environment. Beyond electricity generation, it can also provide thermal applications, presenting new possibilities for how buildings, infrastructure, and industrial assets consume and manage energy.

This SGBC Seminar, supported by SGBC Member HY M&E Engineering Consultancy, will explore the evolving role of nuclear energy in advancing a low-carbon built environment. Beginning with an overview of the development and evolution of nuclear technologies, this session aims to explore potential pathways for national deployment, and outline how these can potentially align with national goals and strategies. A key focus will be on the practical considerations for stakeholders in the built environment, including the implications for on-premise nuclear power integration.

Beyond theoretical potential, the Seminar will address the tangible milestones needed to realise behind-the-meter nuclear solutions for energy-intensive facilities such as data centres. By analysing the interplay between project development, national strategy and deployment, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of what is truly required to integrate nuclear power into the future of the built environment.
