SGInnovate’s ecosystem domain maps give a bird’s eye view and visual guide that highlights strategic players and contributors in emerging tech domains. With this map, players will be able to identify the right stakeholders and partners to help accelerate innovations to market.

Cell and gene therapy (CGT) has the potential to address a range of previously untreatable conditions. In Singapore, the CGT ecosystem has steadily expanded in recent years, underpinned by strong public investment, translational research platforms, and industry partnerships.

Under the Research, Innovation and Enterprise (RIE2025) plan, S$80 million has been committed to programmes focused on scaling up manufacturing processes, deepening the understanding of cell attributes related to safety and efficacy, and developing technologies to assess product quality in real-time.

Institutions such as ACTRIS (Advanced Cell Therapy and Research Institute Singapore) have also been established to support clinical-grade manufacturing and to provide infrastructure for early-stage companies. Together with startups, corporates, and academic partners, these efforts are shaping a high-potential CGT ecosystem.

To help stakeholders better navigate this complex space, SGInnovate has developed the Singapore Cell and Gene Therapy Ecosystem Map, which highlights the investors, startups, researchers, and enablers supporting CGT development in Singapore.

The map will be updated periodically.
