This course covers what Generative AI is, how Generative AI impacts across industries through real-life applications. Prompt engineering is introduced covering various framework and techniques to help learners design effective prompts to generate text, images, music and videos through hands-on activities. The ethical and responsible usage of Generative AI is also covered. After the course, the learners will acquire actionable skills in using Generative AI tools and designing prompts for real-world tasks to expand capability and improve productivity.

Lim De Yi, Lecturer, NYP-Microsoft Center for Applied AI (C4AI), School of Engineering, Nanyang Polytechnic
Mr De Yi Lim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Applied Science Berlin and a Specialist Diploma in Applied Artificial Intelligence. With his experience in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) for the aerospace sector, De Yi has demonstrated a strong capability in integrating advanced technologies to enhance industry and Teaching & Learning (T&L) applications. Passionate about generative AI, De Yi is currently appointed as one of the lead trainers for a 1-day Generative AI course, sharing expertise and insights with participants to foster a deeper understanding of this innovative field.
