Dr Huang Jinquan, Head, Patent Analytics, IPOS International
Dr Huang Jinquan

Jinquan is the Head of the Patent Analytics Division at IPOS International, with over a decade of experience in global and industry-wide technology landscape scanning and analysis. He specialises in applying patent analytics to identify key technology trends and R&D and business opportunities for organisations. Jinquan has advised various government agencies, including the Prime Minister's Office, National Research Foundation, and Ministry of National Development, on R&D planning with actionable technology intelligence. He also provides consultancy and expert advice in IP and business strategy to public organisations and enterprises overseas. Jinquan's professional experience is complemented by a strong technical foundation – he holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore and was awarded the prestigious President's Graduate Fellowship in his doctoral candidature for his exceptional accomplishments in research.

Tyler Capson

Sun Ting is a Senior Patent Analyst at IPOS International with over seven years of experience in patent analytics. He has led a series of technology landscape projects, drawing pivotal insights on emerging technologies and identifying R&D opportunities for government agencies and local research institutes. In his advisory role, he helps local and overseas enterprises shape their IP strategy, map out competitors or collaborators, and make critical business decisions. Sun Ting has spoken at various industrial conferences and trained overseas government organisations on patent analytics, technology landscaping and IP intelligence. Prior to his current role, Sun Ting was also a Patent Examiner at IPOS for over two years. He holds a PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, and was a post-doc research fellow specialising in thin films and nanomaterials for various applications.
