Overview

Controversial and divisive - NFTs are still early in the process of being defined, legitimised and proven. This course gives participants a foundational understanding of NFTs from various perspectives including technical, economic and philosophical. It will teach you how to critically evaluate NFTs, and how you choose to interact with this new digital asset.

Course Description & Learning Outcomes

At the end of the 2-day course, participants will be able to: - Explore the spectrum of fungibility and non-fungibility, and what makes NFTs valuable and desirable - Learn what is under the hood of owning an NFT: what the “token” is; where the art/digital assets are stored and their implications - Examine the different categories of NFTs and their utility - Overview of the NFT ecosystem from both the Creatives’ and Collectors’ point of view - Learn how to research and assess an NFT project - Be aware of NFT issues and risks and how to protect yourself - What factors should you consider as a Collector and Creator - Developments and the future of NFTs
