Overview
Learn modern software development, design documentation, and frameworks, including designing and developing a full stack secured software solution, as well as integrating various Agile and Lean UX practices.
Upon completion, you will receive a Specialist Certificate in Modern Software Engineering Practices and you may also directly sit for the Professional Scrum Master (PSM1) certification.
Course Description & Learning Outcomes
This specialised micro-credential exposes learners to software development concepts such as Agile, DevOps, Lean UX and full stack development. This micro-credential is part of the Competency-based Stackable Micro-credential Pathway in Applied Computing. At the end of the course, you will be able to: - Elevate the user experience of digital solutions through the understanding of user, established design principles, patterns, and trends - Conduct UX testing and/or usability testing to enhance user experience of digital solutions - Lead Agile software development processes and integrate Lean UX practices for digital solutioning - Design and implement a modern software testing strategy that delivers secure software efficiently
Recommended Prerequisites
A well-prepared learner should come with, at minimum, basic familiarity, knowledge and skills in Object-Oriented Programming (e.g. C++, C#, Java, Python), and web development.
