Singapore-headquartered document lifecycle management software vendor Accredify has struck a deal with IBM to integrate the latter’s Digital Health Pass into the Accredify Digital Health Passport offering. Accredify’s Digital Health Passport was created in partnership with SGInnovate at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic to assist in the issuance of verifiable COVID-19 discharge memos to migrant workers at scale.
Under the new Innovation and Enterprise Fellowship Programme (IFP), National Research Foundation (NRF) will be supporting 500 fellowships over the next five years. SGInnovate, the programme’s very first partner, saw the launch of the PowerX (Robotics) programme, which helped equip locals with the necessary skills for the robotics and automation sector.
Although there are only around 1,000 electric cars on the roads today, there is a strong push to increase this number to around 200,000 by 2030, shared Tong Hsien-Hui, Executive Director of Venture Investing at SGInnovate, on Singapore’s EV outlook.
“This is the pathway which is particularly being developed at large scale now to try and decarbonise hydrogen production,” Dr Patrick Hartley, Leader, CSIRO Hydrogen Industry Mission, said in a panel at the Deep Tech Summit organised by SGInnovate last year.
Bot MD has raised US$5 million in Series A round led by Monk's Hill Ventures. Other investors in the round include SeaX Ventures, XA Network and SGInnovate, healthcare industry veterans Lu Yoh-Chie and Jean-Luc Butel, as well as Silicon Valley notable, Steve Blank.
Deep Tech represents an area where Singapore can shine due to its strong incumbent talent base and research facilities.
